Hispanic Heritage Festival

Sarasota Hispanic Democrats will host a Festival during our Hispanic Heritage Month to:
​

recognize the value and importance of the Hispanic Community,
​​
-
establish a social outreach to the Hispanic Community,
​​
-
encourage Hispanic participation in the democratic process
​​
-
and encourage voter participation.
THE EVENT
A varied and engaging afternoon is planned which will include music and food from different Hispanic cultures, theatrical skits, an art exhibit as well as speakers addressing topics relevant to our community such as immigration, affordable housing, education, and the environment.
Tables will be set up to disseminate information on topics like voting rights and health.
The event will be hosted at Fogartyville. The space includes a nice big open area, a sheltered area in case of rain and a sitting area with tables which will encourage people to stay for a while to enjoy the music, food, and speakers.
